Roof Cleaning in Juneau

If you’ve spent any time in Juneau, it will be no surprise to learn that roofs here grow more moss, algae, and lichen than roofs anywhere in the lower 48. This makes it extremely important that us Juneauites stay on top of getting our roofs cleaned, as this organic growth is not only unsightly, but also very bad for the long-term condition of a roof. As moss builds up, it will lift shingles, breaking their water-tight seal, and keep moisture constantly trapped in the wood underneath, leading to rot. Our roof cleaning techniques ensure that this doesn’t happen and do so without damaging any part of your home.

How we do it — Soft Wash

To ensure we don’t cause any damage to your roof, we use a method called soft washing. This is the manufacturer-recommended approach for cleaning asphalt shingles and metal roofing, as it avoids the use of high-pressure water. Instead, soft washing relies on a low-pressure application of a diluted Sodium Hypochlorite solution—the active ingredient in bleach—to safely and effectively eliminate organic growth.

How often should my roof be cleaned in Juneau?

Most experts recommend having your roof cleaned annually in Juneau due to our damp climate, which promotes algae and moss growth. Left untreated, this can lead to shingle damage—and in some cases, may even void your roof’s manufacturer warranty. At PaneFully Clean, LLC, we know annual maintenance can feel like a big commitment, so we offer discounted rates and flexible package options to make it more affordable for homeowners.

Window Cleaning in Juneau

In our opinion, nowhere in the world offers views quite like Juneau. Towering mountains rise from the ocean, glaciers stretch beneath dramatic skies, and a rich ecosystem of plants and wildlife surrounds us—it's a place like no other. To truly enjoy these breathtaking sights, clean windows aren’t just a luxury—they’re a necessity. That’s why regular window cleaning is one of the most important ways to preserve your connection to the beauty right outside of your home.

Pressure Washing in Juneau

At PaneFully Clean, LLC, we like to think of pressure washing as the king of all types of cleaning. When it comes to tackling the toughest grime—deep-set stains, years of buildup, or stubborn organic growth—pressure washing is the go-to solution. It delivers powerful results where other methods fall short, restoring surfaces to like-new condition with ease.

About Us

Jon

Aubrey

A person with short blonde hair sitting on a railing by the water, with a backdrop of a cloudy sky and distant mountains.

As young adults, we were tired of working uninspired summer jobs. Going on four years, Aubrey has spent his winters going to school at MSU, and I (Jon) have spent mine snowboarding in Washington. We love our home town of Juneau, so we would always come back for the summer, but continually felt like there wasn’t any clear trajectory within our work. Because of this, we decided it was time to do something new. Together, we bought a set of basic window cleaning supplies and set out knocking on doors. The start was slow, but the path was clear; as long as we could continue to build our customer base, our business would grow. We put in long hours of website building, advertising, learning how a business should run, and, of course, washing windows. Today, PaneFully Clean, LLC offers a variety of services that we weren’t able to provide in the beginning. Even with these improvements, we continue to strive to do the best work possible while elevating the condition of homes and businesses around Juneau.

Our Tools & Technology

Part of providing the best service possible is having the right equipment for the job. This is why we invest into our tools and are transparent about what we use every time we clean.

Our state of the art window cleaning setup uses a reverse-osmosis water filter to deionize and clean minerals out of hose water, which is then passed through a 40-foot-long carbon fiber extension pole with a nylon and boar’s hair brush on the end. This system from Xero allows for completely pure water to be used for cleaning and forgoes the traditional methods of soap and water, allowing for a streak-free finish.

Ladders

Roof cleaning involves constant use of ladders. As shown in this picture, we utilize a variety of ladders in many different ways.

Pressure Washer

Our pressure washer is a commercial grade, 4GPM, 4400PSI gas-powered machine. It is more than effective enough for every job we’ve come across.

Used to spray moss treatment, pump sprayers are one of our most commonly used tools. Pump sprayers allow us to spray discriminately and provide excellent maneuverability compared to other traditional soft wash methods.

Our Commitment to Southeast

As local Juneauites, we love our home city and the wilderness that surrounds it. It’s this love that has motivated us to do what we can to limit the impact our cleaning services have on this Southeast Alaskan environment. To achieve this goal, we’ve made the following steps:

  • Purchasing a reverse-osmosis water filter and water fed pole to allow us to clean all exterior windows without need for any kind of detergent or chemical — just water

  • Limiting use of harsh chemicals for pre- and post- treatments of pressure washing jobs

  • Using battery- or hand-powered equipment

  • Watering all surrounding areas before and after cleaning with moss treatment

  • Wrapping nearby plants in covers to limit overspray of moss treatment when they are in danger

  • Utilizing pump sprayers whenever possible to avoid overspray associated with common soft wash machines
